The Artist Factory Review

Interactive Art Gallery & Musical Performance Show

May 26th Show

What can I say other than if your an artist or musician in Atlanta, The Leisure Class Artist Factory is a solid base for the Atlanta Arts movement. Whether you are coming to experience the authentic vibe, or are an artist yourself, looking to be apart of creating it, The Leisure Class Artist Factory is an official spot for authentic pieces of art, music and positive energy. The perfect ambiance and square footage of SPACE has made it the perfect evening hideaway.

This weeks show was full of energy for all involved. I was extremely happy with the variety of artists and musicians I had the opportunity to meet. It wasn't hard to feel good networking while having a drink, simply because Yahquan Da Travellah created a lovely hypnotic atmosphere. The Artists represented themselves and their work to the fullest. With the African inspired ensemble done by Amir M. Lyles, to the thought provoking installation art by Iman Person and the sophisticated photography of Biluxi, the artists collectively created a room full of unique, well rounded authentic pieces.

I knew we were in for a high energy set from DubMack with Rama-Don on the digital interfaces and drums, because we brought him back from the last show for completely setting the tone for the standard of musicians that will show at the Leisure Class Factory. He came with a full length set with a very emotional, heartfelt performance.

After Dubmack, DJ Kemit hit the one's and twos and kept the energy moving right through the evening while people continued to view art, discuss the art with the artists themselves, get portraits done by Carter J, or watch Jo Stu create his work live.

Just when I thought the night was winding to a lovely close, R&B singer Mykel came through with his band and got the house rocking again. More people joined us and got into the vibe. The whole sound was real soulful and live.

Esseen Music and Enosa Design put this event together with the intent of meshing different artistic voices, giving an artists a place to go and be apart of expression.

Stay tuned to this blog for more photography and live video from this show.
